A massive, sweeping bill (S.2477) that would make Massachusetts Net-Zero by 2050 was approved by the state Senate at the end of January. It is now up for consideration by the state House. Among other things, this bill will create a completely unaccountable and stacked commission to dictate policy related to climate change, taking the power away from the Board of Building Regulation and Standards and local jurisdictions. All local control would be eliminated. This will have a devastating impact on the Massachusetts economy. If you are in Massachusetts, now is the time to contact your state Senator and tell them to vote No.
